WTF is with the name?

You will notice there is no actual medieval fashion on here. Simply put, the name is pretty irrelevant to the content. It was taken from one of my favorite poems by Stephen Crane and used for my first blog 10+ years ago and pretty much everything else since. Here is the poem…

A youth in apparel that glittered
Went to walk in a grim forest.
There he met an assassin
Attired all in garb of old days;
He, scowling through the thickets,
And dagger poised quivering,
Rushed upon the youth.
“Sir,” said this latter,
“I am enchanted, believe me,
To die, thus, In this medieval fashion,
According to the best legends;
Ah, what joy!”
Then took he the wound, smiling,
And died, content.

  1. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and appearance. I must say that you’ve done a amazing job with this. In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Firefox. Superb Blog!
