Guys, I have a confession: I cannot stop buying midi rings.
Midi rings aka knuckle rings are a huge trend in accessories this fall but oddly they are not sold in many of the stores you would expect. Midi rings are simple, they are rings that are both stackable and small enough to rest just above your knuckles. Basically you wear a bunch at the same time at different spots on your fingers. You can wear a few or a ton or just stack them up on one finger.
I am a big fan of simple thin bands stacked at various knuckles. I like to mix metals and add a few in there with cool jewels or designs. But other than Top Shop or a few varieties at trends stores like Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 they are hard to come by. For me the best outlet is Etsy with many jewelry makers selling packs of six or more for pretty reasonable prices.
If you are not familiar with this trend allow me to introduce you…
This set from Forever 21 features some adorable bats that would have been perfect for Halloween, or anytime really because bats are awesome. The model is wearing them as I do, with a ring at each knuckle. Now you don’t have to go batty (see what I did there) and wear them all on one finger. Spread them out. For the most part the sizes will work with many spots on several different fingers. If you really want to branch out buy a few in different sizes (if they come sized) so they can be spread out amongst thumbs and pinky fingers alike.
These rings from Nasty Gal are a little more my speed with smooth bands of varying widths on each finger. It’s a great way to wear jewelry in an interesting way. The best part of this trend is there is no real way to style it — wear a bunch or one or two and they look great. I love the way this set is all one tone but adding a little silver in there gives it more versatility and allows you to wear other metals without clashing.
These bad boys from Top Shop are fabulous in every way. I love the mixed metals but I love the shape even more. If you wear them on a single finger (index or middle) and space them out evenly they make a great chevron pattern which we all know is super on trend. The only downside is that they only come in sets of three so if you want to keep with the same metal you have to buy another set.
If you want to try some fun shapes and spikes, and obviously you do, check out the selection at Forever 21. This set of four spiked and chevron rings is tres chic and only $4.80! How can you resist? While you are at it grab another pack of fun designs and some simple bands so you can mix and match!
Rounding out this post are these rings from Factory sold by Nasty Gal. The simple thin bands are super versatile and can be worn in a number of ways. Like the image above I favor wearing them on my middle and index fingers because they seem to fit just above or below the knuckle the best.
Now that you have been educated and you are just as ring obsessed as I have at it! Check out some more selections in my Midi Ring list on Shopcade! For more fun head on over to Etsy and see what the independent sellers have created!
