By now everyone has pulled out their collection of boots and is evaluating what they need; what their collection is missing.
A fall staple is a great ankle boot or bootie. Pair with a pair of tights and you have a great on-trend look. Today I got away with wearing some chunky ankle boots with bare legs it was so warm!
Here are some of my favorite short boots that won’t make you go bankrupt:
Though I am not a huge Fergie fan and think her Fergalicious brand name is ridiculous you cannot deny that these boots are adorable. They come in both black and taupe and go with everything. The fringe detail gives them a little western look without being out of control. We all can’t wear heels all the time so these are the perfect flat addition to your collection.
These shearling collar boots from UK retailer Dorothy Perkins will bring a cozy touch to whatever you are wearing. The short heel and buckle details are fun and subtle making these a perfect casual pair of boots.
What is up with female musicians I hate making shoes I love? These here are from Jessica Simpson’s shoe line and I am obsessed The black/taupe color block makes this pair perfectly acceptable with a variety of outfits and colors. They are classic enough to be worn all the time and unique enough to garner some jealous looks.
I picked up these in black today from my local Target. These are perfect if you aren’t looking for flat boots but don’t love the dressy look of a traditional heel. These are 5″ wedges with a small hidden platform. Though microsuede isn’t ideal in the snow I’ll take my chances at $30.
It’s always wise to have a good basic in your closet in case you aren’t feeling up to figuring out which boot looks best. These are what I call my fall flats, a super basic, flat boot that you can wear with everything, all the time. The summer equivalent would be a basic black sandal or flip flop. Though these Nine West boots are a little pricy for such a basic I am sure they would last quite a while.
I didn’t do a great job with the screen grab but click the photo to see the boot minus the lines. These are for the more daring dresser with a 5″ heel and 1 1/2″ platform. They are a heeled take on the classic biker boot but with a little more danger. G by Guess did a great job constructing a tough, faux leather boot for only $59!
Last but certainly not least are these sky high wedges from G by Guess. Not only do I love the color I love the towering height of 7 1/2″. I would definitely leave these at home on an icy night but they are great to rock while the weather is calm.
