If you have been reading my blog you know that I utilize a great social media tool to build every one of my posts. Now is a great time to take a break from the latest trends and brands and tell you more about Shopcade!
Shopcade is a platform that combines the connectivity of social media and the world of e-commerce. Through the site you are able to browse thousands of products, create organizational lists to share your favorite products, play games, enter sweepstakes, unlock deals on your favorite brands and earn points toward rewards.
This is a look at my Shopcade.
How it works is you sign up, I use it through Facebook but you can also sign in with your Twitter account. Once you are signed up you select your sharing preferences and start adding products! For each product you add (up to a maximum) you earn 3 points. You also earn points for following other users, being followed, inviting friends to sign up, other users adding products from your Shopcade, and through various games. The points can be collected for as long as you like and used to redeem for rewards like gift cards to some great stores, clothes and jewelry.
So far I have used my points to get a great KRYSTALRAE collar necklace and Henri Bendel coin purse, both great items I got for FREE for browsing and adding products I love.
Shopcade also lets you earn money from purchases made through your Shopcade. If another user browses through your Shopcade and comes across a dress they can’t live without you will earn a portion of their purchase. The earnings can be cashed out, donated to charity, or turned into points to get rewards.
In addition to cash, rewards, points etc. you can also unlock exclusive deals from some of your favorite brands.
But the thing I love about Shopcade the most its that you can browse through thousands of brands from one website at the same time. A few of my favorite places to shop online include ASOS, ModCloth and Piperlime. Instead of going to each site individually and browsing through their inventory I can browse through all three at the same time on Shopcade. This makes finding a specific item easier. Say you want mint green pants. You simply search for ‘mint green pants’ and then select the merchants you wish to look under. The search function will pull up all the products across brands that meet that description. This way you can easily compare prices, fits, and cuts without navigating through a hundred pages.
As a blogger Shopcade gives me a space to organize what I love into trends. Before writing any post I first create a Shopcade based on the trend. After creating it I look through hundreds of brands for pieces that both fit the trend and look great. Once added to your Shopcade you have the name, photo and description of the item along with a quick link to where it can be directly purchased. This makes planning out future posts and keeping track of links so much easier for me!
The most recent development on the site is the addition of an ‘add’ button. The ‘add’ button allows you to directly input products from all over the internet into Shopcade if they are not on the site already! Above is a screenshot of my collection ‘Best of Etsy.’ Etsy is a great marketplace for independently created pieces but it is not currently on Shopcade as a brand. I was able to still make a collection of my favorite pieces by adding each product myself! It only takes a few seconds and only required the product’s link.
If you like what you read then get going and create your own! Shopcade is completely free to use and great for finding deals on brands you love. I promise you that once you start making lists and looking through other people’s lists you will become completely obsessed!
